Student Competition

Student authors are encouraged to participate in the Student Competition. A total of 12 winners will be selected based on the best oral and poster presentations. Each winner will receive an award of USD250 generously provided by the International Shock Wave Institute (ISWI). For the sake of fairness, submission for the Student Competition have to satisfy the following criteria:

  • The author must be a registered student of a university or institute of higher learning at the time of the actual Symposium (that is 16-21 July 2023). The student must be able to provide documentary evidence that he/she is a student.

  • Full papers for the Student Competition must be submitted latest by 30 April 2023.  Full papers must follow the guidelines provided.

  • The student must attend ISSW34 in Korea.

  • The student must register and make full payment of registration fees.

  • For Oral Presentation, the student must be the presenter. For Poster Presentations, the student must be physically present beside his/her poster to present his/her work personally to the judges and other symposium participants.

  • If any of the above criteria are not fulfilled, the author will be disqualified from the Student Competition.
